Initiated by the Department of Culture and Tourism-Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi), Abu Dhabi Showdown Week is a seven-day series of events, including UFC 242, concerts, social events, and city-wide promotions on multiple retail, hotel, and food and beverage outlets.

Abu Dhabi Gears Up for a Week of UFC, Music, and Fun
So what exactly can we expect during Abu Dhabi Showdown Week? Well, here’s a quick rundown of events and activities:
UFC 242. Fans of UFC can look forward to 11 exciting fights, including all-female bouts (the first in Abu Dhabi) and the ultimate showdown between lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedoy and 155-pound titlist Dustin Poirier. What’s more, everybody is invited to join free workouts, weigh-ins, autograph signings, plus meet and greets with UFC fighters.
Concert Nights. Concerts will be held at all-new indoor venue The Arena on Yas Island for two separate nights. American rock legend Red Hot Chili Peppers will take to the stage on September 4, while Colombian artist and international star J Balvin will perform his Latin hits on September 5. Of course, music fans shouldn’t miss the pool parties and exclusive evening after-parties as well!
Muscle & Fitness Expo. Health buffs can look forward to the Abu Dhabi Muscle and Fitness Expo, which will showcase leading exhibitors, seminars, and sports competitions. Cool!
City-wide Promotions. During the week, everyone can enjoy various promotions in hotels, beach clubs, malls, restaurants, and leisure destinations all across the city. Yay!

The ‘Ultimate Access’ Package
