Residents in Abu Dhabi can go to a new place for getting administered with COVID-19 vaccines: The Galleria on Al Maryah Island. The mall has a new Mubadala Health booth, where citizens and residents — upon meeting certain requirements — can apply for vaccinations.
Based on a press release, the Chairman of the Department of Health (DoH), His Excellency Abdulla bin Mohamed Al Hamed, visited the new booth on Sunday, February 14. He was welcomed by Mr. Hasan Jasem Al Nowais and Dhaher bin Dhaher Al Mheiri, the CEOs of Mubadala Health and Abu Dhabi Global Market’s (ADGM) Registration Authority, respectively.
The Galleria Opens Health Booth for Administering Vaccines
HE Al Hamed was briefed about the services offered at the health booth, which is open from Sunday to Thursday, between 10 am and 7 pm. He commended Mubadala Health and Abu Dhabi’s healthcare sector for continuing to provide great health services amid the current pandemic.
The new Mubadala Health booth is capable of administering 5 vaccine doses for different people simultaneously. At the same time, it implements precautionary measures — such as pre-scheduled appointments — to help ensure social distancing among everyone.
“We are pleased to have His Excellency Abdulla bin Mohamed Al Hamed, Chairman of the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi, visit our vaccination booth at The Galleria Al Maryah,” Mubadala Health CEO Al Nowais stated. “We are extremely proud to be part of the national vaccination programme, which demonstrates the UAE’s ability to mount an agile and effective response to the pandemic through collaboration between the public and private sectors.”
For his part ADGM’s Registration Authority CEO, Dhaher bin Dhaher Al Mheiri, stated: “We would like to thank His Excllency Abdulla bin Mohammed Al Hamed for his continued support and supervision, as we commit to support the availability of further COVID-19 vaccinations to Abu Dhabi Global Market’s business community and to the visitors of Al Maryah Island.”
Who Can Apply to Get Vaccinated?
You can apply for the vaccination if you are a UAE citizen or resident who: (a) has a chronic condition; (b) is a person of determination; or (c) is age 50 years old and above.

Aside from the new health booth in The Galleria, Mubadala Health has established other vaccination centres across Abu Dhabi. These include Mubadala Health booths at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi and IPIC Square, along with all branches of Imperial College London Diabetes Centre, Amana Healthcare, Capital Health Screening Centre, and Healthpoint.
